Thomasasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he is aware that the male staff at the Remand Home, Cathedral Road, Cardiff, are paid £5 7s. per week, less stoppages, and that they sometimes have to work 72 hours a week; and whether, in view of the responsible nature of the duties involved, he will give sympathetic consideration to a review of these salary rates.
