HC Deb 27 February 1952 vol 496 c148W
57. Mr. Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he will make a statement on his recent visit to Paris and on his talks with the French Foreign Minister.

Mr. Nutting

The primary object of the visit which my right hon. Friend paid the French Foreign Minister on 1st and 2nd February was to inform M. Schuman of the results of the conversations with the United States Government which the Prime Minister and he had held shortly before in Washington.

The talks in Paris ranged over a number of topics, and disclosed an identity of view between Her Majesty's Government and the French Government.
