§ 77. Sir W. Smithersasked the Minister of Transport if, in addition to the decisions of the Central and Transport Users' Advisory Committees and the assurance that the Railway Executive will inform the appropriate area of any proposed withdrawal of railway service, he will also introduce legislation to provide an appeal to an independent court of law.
§ Mr. MaclayNo. For the reasons set out in the answer which I gave on the 4th February to my hon. Friend's Question on this subject, I do not consider that legislation on the lines suggested is either necessary or desirable.
