asked the Minister of Education the numbers of school places, showing primary and secondary education separately, which have been created by new building in each of the years 1945 to 1952; and the ratios between the additional numbers of school places so created and the additional numbers of children reaching primary and secondary school entry ages in each year.

of the Committee approved by the Minister under that Section, consisting of persons appointed by bodies representing local education authorities and teachers respectively, to submit to the Minister such scales of remuneration for teachers as they consider suitable. The Act does not provide for the possibility that the Committee might not find it possible to submit proposals to the Minister.
