Mrs. Hillasked the Minister of Health what reservations the Government propose to make against the International Sanitary Regulations adopted by the Fourth World Health Assembly in May, 1951; and how far the regulations will involve a substantial change in health control at seaports and airports in this country.
§ Mr. CrookshankSo far as the United Kingdom is concerned, Her Majesty's Government do not propose to make any reservation. As regards overseas territories for whose international relations the United Kingdom is responsible, consultation with the local governments is, of course, necessary and is still proceeding. Apart from the abolition of the Personal Declaration of Origin and Health by persons arriving by air, the Regulations will not involve any notable change in health control at ports in this country.
