§ Mr. HeadI regret that the figure for 1st November, 1951, is not available. The strength of the War Office, counting two part-time staff as one whole-time, 105W was, on 1st October, 1951, 7,277, and on 1st January this year, 7,422. I am at present examining ways and means of reducing the staff.
