§ Mr. Murrayasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he will meet a deputation from the North-East Development Association to discuss ways and means of providing alternative forms of employment in the right places: and if he is aware that those responsible for the above association are disturbed about the situation in the north-east and would welcome the opportunity of placing their views before him at an early date.
§ Mr. H. StraussThe North-East Development Association have not yet made any request for a deputation, but, if they desired it, I should certainly be prepared to meet them on behalf of my right hon. Friend to hear their views on industrial development in the North Eastern Development Area.
