Air Commodore Harveyasked the President of the Board of Trade, in view of the considerable and increasing dollar earnings of the car hire trade and its contribution to tourist promotion generally, if he will encourage further development of these facilities by means of some relaxation of the Hire Purchase (Control) Order, 1952, as regards the purchase of new rolling stock for Coronation year.
