§ Mr. Bossomasked the Minister of Agriculture what action he proposes to take to prevent the risk of foot-and-mouth disease infection from motor vehicles coming to this country from the Continent which may have picked up mud or manure on the roads in an infected country.
§ Sir T. DugdaleThis matter is being considered by the Gowers Committee and I shall, no doubt. receive their advice in due course. In the meantime, I do not propose to take further action for the reasons given in reply to my hon. Friend the Member for Tonbridge (Mr. G. Williams) on 19th June.
