Thomsonasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government how much has been paid by the Treasury 266W under the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act, 1949, towards the expenses of the National Parks Commission and towards the administrative functions of the various national parks committees since the inception of the Act.
§ Mr. H. MacmillanThe expenses of the National Parks Commission defrayed by my Department under the Act total £63,171 including the amount provided in the Department's Vote for the current financial year. Exchequer grants are not payable under the Act towards the administrative expenses of the local authorities concerned with the National Parks.
