asked the Minister of Health (1) to take immediate steps to authorise expenditure on a casualty ward at Tamworth, Staffordshire, bearing in mind especially the coal-mining industrial risks in the locality;

(2) to give urgent attention to the need for a maternity ward with the services of a consultant obstretician at Tamworth, Staffordshire; and if he will call for a copy of the report of the medical officer of the borough of Tamworth which deals with the present unsatisfactory state of affairs.
