§ 57. Mr. Greyasked the Assistant Postmaster-General if he will seek to promote a wavelength conference similar to that held at Copenhagen in 1948, and endeavour to secure an extra allocation of medium wavelengths for this country.
Mr. GammonsNo. I see no hope of such a conference reaching agreement on a new plan which would give the United Kingdom an extra long or medium wavelength. Other countries would also like extra wavelengths for broadcasting.
