§ Mr. LytteltonAccording to my latest information the Kenya Government publishes 16 district news-sheets in various vernaculars and a fortnightly illustrated newspaper in Swahili. A weekly illustrated magazine in Swahili is also published by the East African Literature54W Bureau. Programmes are broadcast from Nairobi in Kikuyu for one hour daily, and in Swahili for 1½ hours daily, except Sundays. From Mombasa programmes in Swahili and Arabic are broadcast for one hour each on three days per week.
