asked the Secretary of State for War to what extent the stores and ammunition depot at Tel el Kebir is being maintained; and the cost of maintenance.

Mr. Head

The base ordnance depot at Tel el Kebir holds large quantities of mobilisation equipment and war reserves, including vehicles, and carries out the repair of general stores for the whole Middle East garrison. An estimate of the current running costs is being prepared locally, and I will write to the hon. Member.
