§ 68. Mr. Arbuthnotasked the Minister of Transport if he will give a general direction to the British Transport Commission under Section 4 of the Transport Act, 1947, to make available to farmers the acreage now unused as a result of the closing of railway branch lines.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydI understand that the British Transport Commission are already ready to make available by sale or letting sites and land which are no longer required for the Commission's purposes following the closing of branch lines. No question of a direction therefore arises.
