HC Deb 04 December 1952 vol 508 c181W
116. Mr. Harold Davies

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government how many millions of pounds of the £15 million voted during the war-time Government for rural water supplies have now been used for this purpose.

Mr. Marples

Grants amounting to £12,896,068 have been finally or provisionally promised under the Rural Water Supplies and Sewerage Acts, 1944 and 1951, towards the cost of water supply schemes in England and Wales. Of this sum £3,738,145 has actually been paid.
