HC Deb 04 December 1952 vol 508 c180W
114. Mr. Sorensen

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury if he is aware that pupils at Secondary Grammar Schools are encouraged by the Civil Service Commission to sit for Civil Service examinations before they reach the school-leaving age and to take appointments before then; and whether he will cause the existing regulations to be amended so that this interference with the normal school life of pupils is brought to an end.

Mr. Boyd-Carpenter

No. The second part of the Question does not therefore arise.
