HC Deb 02 December 1952 vol 508 c127W
5. Mr. Odey

asked the Minister of Pensions, if he will consider extending the increase of £26 per annum to all war disability pensions, irrespective of the amount and the date of the pension.

Mr. Amory

I understand that the hon. Member has in mind wounds pensions awarded to certain officers of the 1914 war. Many of the officers who were awarded these pensions have been transferred to standard rates as these have, owing to the recent improvements, become more favourable. The pensions of the remainder of these officers are still higher than the new standard rates, and I do not, therefore, feel justified in increasing them.
