§ Mr. WatkinsonAn analysis of the number of unemployed persons by duration of unemployment is obtained only at quarterly intervals and the latest date for which figures are available is 15th September, 1952, when there were 24,622, or 37 per cent. of the total for Scotland, who had been unemployed for more than three months. The corresponding figures for 17th September, 1951, were 16,844 or 35 per cent.
