HC Deb 02 December 1952 vol 508 c142W
Mr. Emrys Hughes

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland who are the inefficient landlords who have received notices that they have failed to carry out their responsibilities for increasing food production under the Agriculture (Scotland) Act, 1948; and who are the landlords against whom these notices are still in force.

Mr. J. Stuart

A warning notice, as the name implies, is intended to give the landlord concerned a reasonable opportunity to remedy defects in his estate management. This object would not be furthered by publicity of the kind suggested by the hon. Member and I am, accordingly, not prepared to give the information he desires.
