§ Mr. J. StuartThere are at present 2,389 patients awaiting in-patient treatment at Law Hospital. No urgent case is refused immediate admission. Three small general hospitals (at Coatbridge, Biggar 55W and Douglas) have usually a small number of beds empty and use is made of those beds when the patient is willing and his medical condition is suitable.
