HL Deb 23 April 1952 vol 176 c386WA
LORD MANCROFT

asked Her Majesty's Government whether they will consider raising the travelling allowance for Territorials attending drills in their own cars, in view of the fact that this allowance has only been raised from 3d. to 3½d. per mile over a period in which the price of petrol has practically doubled.

EARL FORTESCUE

This rate of motor mileage allowance is being reviewed as a result of the recent rise in the price of petrol.

House adjourned at twenty-seven minutes before eight o'clock.
