Mr. Jannerasked the President of the Board of Trade whether, in view of his regulations, any decision has been reached about Ardil cloth; how far this cloth will be extensively used in the near future; and, if so, how the price of clothes made from it will compare with those made from cotton or wool.
§ Mr. P. ThorneycroftThe use of cloth containing Ardil will depend upon the demand for it, and is not governed in any way by regulations made by my Department. It is not possible to estimate the comparative prices of clothing made from "Ardil" and other fibres, since these will depend upon the price and proportion of the various fibres used and upon the articles of clothing concerned.
