StuartAfter careful consideration in the light of further information supplied by the Herring Industry Board after my meeting with them and representatives of the fishermen on 14th March, the Government have informed the interests concerned that the price payable for surplus herring taken for conversion to oil and meal will be increased from 45s. per cran to 50s. per cran as from today.
