HC Deb 04 October 1951 vol 491 cc289-90W
Mr. John Arbuthnot

asked the Attorney-General what evidence the Government has secured as a result of its investigation into the use by the "Daily Worker" of its contacts with North Korean and Chinese forces, against which the United Nations are at war, to advance its circulation by publishing lists of prisoners of war exclusively available to it.

The Attorney-General

It would not be in the public interest for me to disclose matters confidentially reported to me to enable me to discharge my responsibility in relation to the institution of criminal proceedings, but nothing so far reported to me discloses evidence of the comnission of a criminal offence by those responsible for the "Daily Worker" in respect of the matters referred to in the Question.
