§ Mr. NuttingThe Report of the United Nations Economic Mission for the Middle East was published by the United Nations on 28th December, 1949. It included no estimate of the total cost of developing territories for resettlement of the Arab refugees. A programme of direct relief and relief works was recommended, but no proposals were made regarding the proportion of the cost to be borne by the United Kingdom and the United States respectively.
