Member refers to disputes such as the recent dispute about the pay of firemen, that is not a matter for individual local fire brigade authorities but for the National Joint Industrial Council, and, in the event of failure to reach agreement, for my right hon. Friend the Minister of Labour and National Service, and the question of my giving advice to them does not therefore arise.
