§ 101. Mr. Awberyasked the Minister of Labour what has been the response to the appeal sent out by his officers in Bristol inviting skilled men who have retired to return to their trade; and if he will make a similar appeal throughout the country.
§ Sir W. MoncktonOn 14th October retired workers in the Bristol area who were skilled in certain engineering occupations were invited to register for employment. Up to 23rd November, 30 applications for employment and a large number of inquiries had been received. Employment exchanges throughout the country have been instructed to invite retired workers to return to their trade where there is an unsatisfied demand for labour which they can supply.
