HC Deb 27 November 1951 vol 494 c123W
Mr. G. Williams

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer when the Royal Commission on the taxation of private profits and income is expected to report.

Mr. Boyd-Carpenter

The Commission has received a good deal of written evidence, and has held several public meetings at which it has taken oral evidence. I understand however that the evidence so far received is far from complete and that it will be a considerable time before the Commission will be ready to report.
