HC Deb 27 November 1951 vol 494 c138W
117. Mr. F. Anderson

asked the Minister of Pensions why he has made the supplying of motor cars and tricycles to a disabled person conditional on employment being obtained; and if he will reconsider this decision.

Mr. Amory

There is no employment condition attached to motor cars supplied by my Department to very seriously disabled war pensioners. The employment condition to the supply of motor tricycles for use by war pensioners and National Health Service patients is only applicable to those who, because they are less seriously disabled, would not normally qualify for such a machine but nevertheless need it in order to obtain or retain employment.
