HC Deb 26 November 1951 vol 494 c108W
86. Mr. W. W. Astor

asked the Minister of Food what is the amount of the subsidy on the soft oils provided for manufacturers of non-rationed foods, such as potato crisps; to what extent post-war entrants into the business are excluded from this subsidy; and whether he will re-examine the position.

Dr. Hill

There is no subsidy on oils supplied to trade users, such as manufacturers of potato crisps. The second and third parts of the Question, do not, therefore, arise.
