HC Deb 22 November 1951 vol 494 cc84-5W
109. Mr. J. Hudson

asked the Minister of Health if he is aware that, despite the urgent representations concerning the need for treatment of tonsil and adenoid defects made to local regional hospital authorities during the last two years, the waiting lists for operations in Ealing and Acton has grown from 100 at the introduction of the National Health Service in July, 1948, to 703 on 5th November this year; and whether he proposes to take any steps in the immediate future to assist the local authority to deal adequately with the serious tonsil and adenoid defects amongst school children in the borough of Ealing.

Mr. Crookshank

Yes. The regional hospital board are hoping in the very near future to open additional beds for the treatment of these cases at Clayponds Hospital.
