HC Deb 22 November 1951 vol 494 c73W
96. Lieut.-Colonel Lipton

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will take steps to strengthen the law relating to the protection of children, in view of all the circumstances surrounding the recent journey of Thomas Kavanagh to the United States of America; and what further inquiries are being made to this end.

Sir D. Maxwell Fyfe

On the information before me I am not satisfied that any amendment of the law is necessary. The Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis is, however, making certain further inquiries into the particular case referred to.
