§ Mr. de Freitasasked the Under-Secretary of State for Air how many married quarters there were in the Royal Air Force, both at home and abroad, on 1st September, 1939, and on the most convenient date within the last three months.
§ Mr. BirchOn 1st September, 1939, there were 6,629 permanent married quarters at home and 558 overseas. On 1st October, 1951, there were 11,322 at home and 1,021 overseas.
The numbers of quarters other than permanent at home and overseas on the same dates were 10 and 5,794.
