126. Mr. Fenner Brockway

asked the Minister of Supply what measures he proposes to take, following the Report of the Monopolies and Restrictive Practices Commission on the electric lamp industry.

Mr. Low

My right hon. Friend has asked the Electric Lamp Manufacturers' Association whether they accept the recommendations of the Commission and what action they propose taking to implement them. Further action will be decided in the light of their reply.

Mr. Hamilton

asked the Minister of Supply if his attention has been drawn to the recommendations of the Monopolies Commission relating to the electric lamp industry; and if he will consider the immediate acceptance of these recommendations as a step towards the reduction of the cost of living.
