HC Deb 19 November 1951 vol 494 c16W
Mr. Henderson Stewart

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what representations have recently been made to the Scottish Office by the Police Federation in respect of salary and pension scales; and what action he proposes to take to meet the claims of the police force in Scotland.

Mr. J. Stuart

No representations have been received from the Scottish Police Federation about scales of pay since the improved scales of pensionable pay were introduced on 3rd August, 1951. A representation that ill-health pensions should be based on pay at the date of retirement instead of on average pay in the last three years of service will be discussed by the Police Council this month.
