asked the Minister of Agriculture what steps it is proposed to take to deal with the serious flooding of houses in East Vale, Longton and Fenton: and if he will treat this matter as one of extreme urgency.

Mr. Nugent:

I am informed that the Trent River Board and the Stoke-on-Trent Corporation are investigating this problem as a matter of urgency and I expect to receive a report within a few days. I will then write to the hon. Member.
