HC Deb 13 November 1951 vol 493 c23W
85. Mr. Alport

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if his attention has been drawn to the successful experiment carried out by the Eastern Federation of Building Trades Employers at Ipswich in constructing houses at a low cost and with a high standard of amenity; and whether he will encourage the development of this experiment in the future.

Mr. H. Macmillan:

I have not yet had an opportunity of studying the particular scheme, but I am certainly ready to encourage suitable proposals for building cheaper houses.
