HC Deb 12 November 1951 vol 493 c11W
69. Brigadier Medlicott

asked the Minister of Fuel and Power what stocks of coal and coke for domestic use are now held in the Eastern Region; and how these stocks compare with the amounts held at the corresponding period a year ago.

Mr. Geoffrey Lloyd

Stocks of house coal held in merchants' yards in the Eastern Region on 27th October last amounted to 83,000 tons, as compared with 167,000 tons at the corresponding date a year ago. For coke, the figures are 13,000 tons this year, as against 22,000 tons a year ago.
