HC Deb 12 November 1951 vol 493 c11W
74. Mr. Renton

asked the Minister of Fuel and Power whether he is aware that there is a shortage of coke in rural districts in Huntingdonshire and that this is a handicap to people who rely upon coke for cooking and for heating bath water; and what steps are being taken to overcome this shortage.

Mr. Geoffrey Lloyd

There is not sufficient coke available to meet all demands, but I do not think that the shortage in the rural districts of Huntingdonshire has been any greater than in other parts of the country.
