HC Deb 31 May 1951 vol 488 c31W
38. Mr. Blackburn

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department when he proposes to introduce legislation in implementation of the Report of the Royal Commission on Gambling.

Mr. Ede

The Government agree with the view expressed by the Royal Commission that it is important that this problem should be considered as a whole, and they do not, therefore, propose to take any action in regard to particular recommendations made by the Commission until they have had an opportunity of giving detailed examination to the whole of the recommendations.
