§ Mr. Wadeasked the Under-Secretary of State for the Home Department, as representing the Lord President of the Council, why the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research has not facilitated the development of the direct drive gas locomotive invention which their technical adviser recommended.
§ Mr. de FreitasThe Department of Scientific and Industrial Research brought this invention to the notice of organisations more directly concerned that the Department with actual commercial development of inventions of that character. The Department did thereby facilitate the development to the extent that was possible for it.
