§ Mr. de FreitasTwo exploratory bores have been sunk for the Geological Survey in Staffordshire at Bagots Park, near Uttoxeter and at Whittington Heath, near Lichfield; one boring is being completed at Northleach in Gloucestershire and one is just being started at Slamannan in Lanarkshire. No other borings are awaiting drilling.
