§ 83. Mr. J. Arbuthnotasked the Secretary of State for Air what is the mini mum height at which aircraft are allowed to fly over Dover and Deal; and whether any special instructions have been issued, in view of the noise of jet aircraft and the consequent fear caused to children in the area.
§ Mr. A. HendersonRoyal Air Force aircraft are not permitted to fly over towns at less than 1,000 feet except in emergency. No special instructions have been issued in regard to flying over Dover and Deal. As I am very anxious to ensure a minimum of disturbance to residents in any area in which jet flying is taking place, I should be glad to investigate any cases in which it is alleged that the regulations were not being observed.
