asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT a list of goods, of types comparable with those in the utility range, which can be imported into the United Kingdom free of Purchase Tax.

The classes of imported goods of types comparable with those in the utility range which can, at present, subject to compliance with the prescribed conditions, qualify for exemption from Purchase Tax are cotton and rayon grey cloth, wool cloth for use by makers-up of utility clothing, and furniture.
