HC Deb 21 March 1951 vol 485 c278W
12. Viscount Hinchingbrooke

asked the Secretary of State for Air in what foreign countries operational units of the Royal Air Force under direct control of the Air Ministry are now located; and on what occasions the United States Government has allowed such units to be stationed in territory under her jurisdiction.

Mr. A. Henderson

Royal Air Force units are located in Germany, Austria, Japan, the Canal Zone, Tripolitania, Iraq and Jordan. During the last war a Coastal Command squadron operated from American bases in the Caribbean area and R.A.F. staging posts were established in the Pacific on territory under the jurisdiction of the United States Government.
