HC Deb 21 March 1951 vol 485 c302W
116. Mr. Somerset de Chair

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he will arrange for the inclusion of Persia among the countries to which the Commander-in-Chief, Middle East, is to pay a courtesy visit.

Mr. M. Stewart

Following his assumption of the command of the Middle East theatre, the Commander-in-Chief naturally wishes to pay courtesy visits to all Middle East countries. It is, therefore, logical to assume that he may include Persia in his programme.
