HC Deb 15 March 1951 vol 485 c190W
42. Mr. S. Marshall

asked the Minister of Labour whether he will give further consideration to allowing able-bodied men in Class Z Reserve who are not likely to be called up to train as auxiliary firemen.

Mr. Bevan

Any Class Z or equivalent reservist over the age of 40 and, with certain exceptions, those between the ages of 30 and 40 may be accepted for enrolment in the Auxiliary Fire Service.
