HC Deb 15 March 1951 vol 485 c202W
106. Mr. Key

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he is aware of the fact that the fees chargeable for certificates of naturalisation were last fixed in 1920; and what consideration he has given to increasing them.

Mr. Ede

It has been decided that for a certificate granted on an application made by an alien after 1st April the fee charged will be £15 instead of £10 and that £2 instead of £1 will be payable on the submission of the application. Corresponding charges will be made in the fees chargeable for the naturalisation of British protected persons.
