Mr. Vane

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what is the cost of the British occupation of Germany chargeable against the German economy for each of the financial years since V.E.-Day.

The expenses incurred in German currency for the maintenance of the Forces of Occupation, including the British Element of the Control Commission for Germany, in the British zone of Germany and British Sector of Berlin, are as follows:
